There's a friendship & love interest bonding. This story made me addicted so far. My fav character are hyun, hyuk, jisu, Yuri, jayhyun, wook & ihyun. I can't believe some of my fav characters die😭 - Ihyun, jayhyun & hyuk deserved to live n not dead. A lot of the set up is akin to classic zombie flicks, but as more is revealed to the main characters the story flourishes into something with another layer of depth and recurring digs at the human psyche. I'm avoiding any spoilers so I promise this is more than a simple-minded, monster-smashing thriller.
Hyun-soo and Yi-hyun goes to Room 1408 to check on the monster and, to Hyun-soo's shock, discovers in its place a human-sized cocoon-like structure. Hyun-soo deduces that the thing is alive when he hears its heartbeat. Fearing it could be a threat, Yi-hyun tries to destroy the cocoon but his half-monsterization abilities strangely fights back and knocks him out. One of the major problems with webcomics is that they keep dragging on and on, and most of the time the plot seems to lose their momentum after a while. But Youngchan Hwang seemed to know what he was doing with the pacing his story.
Narrative and characterization
The webtoon tells the story of the titular "shotgun boy" Han Kyu-hwan and the events prior to Sweet Home. First published in Naver Webtoon, Sweet Home ran on a weekly basis on Thursdays. Its prologue was uploaded on October 12, 2017, followed by the first chapter on October 19; the webtoon ended with the uploading of its epilogue and 140th chapter on July 2, 2020.

Absolutely fantastic horror comic, one of my favorites. I'm just here to have a good time and sweet home delivered. It's almost always interesting when different and sometimes polarizing personalities get trapped in a building, that trope is pure candy to me. i love it. I decided to binge read this after Netflix recently announced their 'Sweet Home' web series since the trailer looked promising. Another amazing story by Kim Carnby with outstanding artwork. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.
Bastard
The webtoon is also said to go beyond simple horror storytelling and focuses on character development, especially on its protagonist Cha Hyun-soo. In the webtoon, Hyun-soo is portrayed as a reclusive boy who, at first, lives only for himself and is ready to die. But as soon as the monsterization apocalypse begins, he makes a big change by wanting to step out of his room, connecting with other people and staying alive.

The whole story from start to finish takes place inside a single apartment complex, which I found particularly intriguing. I loved almost all the characters, but the MC in particular was quite realistic and very likeable - which let's be honest is kind of rare when it comes to this kind of stories. Set in the present day, a mysterious illness plagues the world. Everyone is turning into monsters and the only way to defeat them is to be as quiet and as violent as possible. Beginning with a reluctant protagonist, the apartment building this battle takes place in is filled with every kind of fear, hate, and love someone can feel in the midst of an apocalypse. Orated through as diverse of characters as you'd expect across tenants, anything revealed to the reader has to first be figured out within the story.
Home Sweet Home Kim Carnby Chapter 141 Summary
The character is named Hyun Cha in the official English translation. Winter, in the post-apocalyptic world—the Green Home survivors live in a military camp. Byung-il, who guards the perimeter, suddenly sees something. She rushes to the perimeter and sees the new Hyun-soo clad in thin clothing and walking towards the camp, barefooted on the snow. Upon seeing Ji-soo, the new Hyun-soo smiles teary-eyed. Ji-soo steps out of the camp in tears and hugs Hyun-soo tightly as the other Green House survivors rush out to meet him.

The whole concept behind the monsters was really fascinating. But I did hope that he would expand upon the lore a bit more instead of focusing solely on the characters. But I guess his style seems to be character-driven plots anyway.
The First Season Of “Sweet Home” Does A Great Job Of Adapting The Majority Of The Webtoon.
Pretty sure I added it already, not sure what happened there. There are multiple listings of the same webtoon and that's making me pissed. I finished it a few moments ago and it was a RIDE!

It also prevents things from getting repetitive because every single monster has a unique design and personality to suit their respective desire. People constantly struggling against their own emotional trauma and wishes creates many tense scenarios that lead to some very touching transformations, death scenes and unexpected character development. With the world taken over by bizarre monsters, Hyun has no choice but to come out of his traumatized shell and band together with a small group of reluctant survivors who can become monsters themselves at any moment. In fact, the monsters that have destroyed the world were once human. A dangerous phenomena has begun that can warp a human being into the form of their strongest desire. If one desires to fly, they become a monster with wings.
This is evident by its introduction of the idea of human beings turning into monsters not through external factors (e.g. virus, curse) but through the expression of their desires. On Joong-seop's orders, Hyun-soo and Yi-hyun search the upper levels of Green Home for other monsters. By letting his inner monster communicate with Hyun-soo's, Yi-hyun discovers the harmless giant fetus monster in the Room 1408 bathroom and, controlled by his inner monster, intends to kill it. Hyun-soo battles against Yi-hyun to defend the fetus monster and manages to knock Yi-hyun back to his normal self.

The situation takes a turn for the worse when Hyun realizes that he himself is slowly turning into a monster, while a mysterious voice in his head grows louder and louder. With his time running out, Hyun must work together with his fellow tenants to uncover the cause of the outbreak and find a way to survive in this hopeless new world, all the while fighting to retain his humanity. Netflix officially announced the series' cast on December 18, 2019.
Soo-young and Young-soo become trapped in the midst of a fight between two monsters, but another half-monsterized woman Im Myung-sook defends the children. I never thought I would read a horror webtoon and enjoy it . I'M STILL CRYING BECAUSE OF THE ENDING MY FAVE CHARACTER GOT. This is exactly how I felt after I watched "Train to Busan", this got me crying for real.
The character is named Jay Ryu in the official English translation. The character is named Seon Ahn in the official English translation. The character is named Joon Shin in the official English translation.
